I also hate the new export a lot since it just makes a huge image, when in the old one you could make it the size you ACTUALLY need it at right off the bat. I much prefer having a huge blank base and adding the background textures myself instead of having to choose 2 and making everything that. It's way more difficult and unintuitive to use, things I can make in Legacy super fast I can't even get close to do in 2. Originally posted by Silver:I was excited for DSP2 before because of the lighting stuff, but now that I've tried using it, I hate it. But I still think it has a long long ways to go. Whereas in DPS I could just plant the trees where I wanted them without any issue, and it was much quicker.Īgain, I have high hopes for this program.

However, I had to play and play with the setting to get the spacing just right. For example I was trying to create a forest the other day and in DPS2 it was very easy to get a floor I liked and to get trees on the map. However, when making custom maps with a specific idea in mind I am able to create it in half the time than in DPS2. Also, I agree that DPS2 has a lot of good things going for it. The free assets made by the community are amazing.
Now, I am not sure if that will change in the future or not, and if it doesn't I recommend holding off. I own DPS, and I have access to (I believe) the full version of DPS2. Or is this a new purchase (which I'll admit, I'm not sure I'd go for.) DPS is kinda on-finished software, so does that mean DPS owners will get DP2 as the 'finished' version. I have a stupid question: What's the price/release model for DPS2. I've used DPS a ton to bust out these maps and it would be shame if it stopped being possible. I make a lot of maps and prototypes with the old-school blue and white dungeon tiles. I would, however, like the program to retain some way of doing minimalist dungeon maps. And the ability to export to your VTT and have your Walls defined! AMAZING time saver. And I find the Tree view much better than the base version, though it could benefit from some controls to change an items level. The ability to define rooms and have walls automatically attached saves a ton of time. The way to mix textures is the EXACT feature I was looking for to make my maps less samey.

Without their work, I would not be able to create this package, and the art assets used in this package are their property, not mine, thus any copyright restrictions imposed on this artwork by these respective artists must be respected.Originally posted by caseykoons:I really like the direction that DP2 is going. If you use this asset, please consider supporting one of the very talented artists that made this package possible. This package is a collection of assets from various artists that I have reskinned to be more inline with DungeonDraft's default art style.
